For the motherfucking win. Time to see if the nickname holds up.

Nice that someone of such prominence (such as a nation's social media figurehead) when called on his shit, points his fingers at the bitch he beat, and then tweets for someone to save him.

When you elect reality television , you get produced drama...

The poetic nature of it all if he gets "fired"...

Ha, doubtful. It's a big fat #Nothingburger.

I'd say that if Popodopoulos wore a wire, then may have something to bargain with in his plea deal. I mean, all he really lied about was a date.  The indictment game is to create a buzz.  People are scrambling because if he did wear a wire and was in his position for months.  That's a ton of material to be used to make puppets dance.  Even if its just an off-the-cuff remark and not really criminal.  It's enough.

Well, there's a whole 31 pages indictment, á la  Rocky Aoki and offshore banking... This is just how the feds roll.  Will they uncover a "smoking gun" or is Trump sufficiently insulated, legally speaking...

Depends on the FBI investigation, and where they take their subpoenas.

The narrative is set at: You will either assume this is guilt by association or think it's all a bunch of desperate muckraking.

That seems to be supported by the two prescribed narratives for one to follow, along the bicameral designation lines.

The Washington Post:

Let’s be clear on what’s happening in our politics right now. President Trump and his media allies are currently creating a vast, multi-tentacled, largely-fictional alternate media reality that casts large swaths of our government as irredeemably corrupt — with the explicitly declared purpose of laying the rationale for Trump to pardon his close associates or shut down the Russia probe, should he deem either necessary.

Fox News:

"It only mentions Russia in passing," Carlson said, "even though Russian meddling was the pretext for this investigation in the first place."

"With the result of the indictment of Paul Manafort and his associate, we will show you, right here, how there is zero evidence of Trump, Russia collusion, zero evidence of campaign collusion," Hannity said. "And in spite of all of that, the media has been lying to you all day, and all weekend long."

This will be fun. I'll be rooting for the Washington Post spin.

yeah it's still empty.  Whatever Manafort's shady business, it dates back to 2014 before Trump was even considering nomination.   If anything, this whole 'drain the swamp' thing will get a lot more press and chaos.  Point, click, Cha-ching.  Everyone gets paid.
